Training

All of our employees are IBEW members and have received five years of apprentice training through IBEW Local Union 269.

 

 

Upon completion of their apprenticeship, all electricians obtain status as Journeyman with skills in:

Installation of Entrance Service and Grounding

Rough Wiring Installation

Wiring, Joints & Connections

Finishing

Fluorescent Lighting Installation

Old Work

Trouble Shooting Maintenance and Repair

Miscellaneous Wiring

 

All trainees must also complete 720 hours of classroom instruction in the following areas to become certified:

 

Electronic Theory

AC/DC Circuits

DC Motor Control

Solid State Electronics

Introduction to Programmable Controllers

Instrumentation

Transformer Connections

First Aid CPR

Blueprint Reading

Basic Transistor Circuits

 

All of our cranes and crane operators are fully certified by the National Commission for Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).

 

A.C. Scott continues to offer ongoing specialized education and safety training to our workforce through IBEW Local Union 269. Information on current classes can be found on Union 269’s Website.
